By ESR on 19 decembrie 2019
A new update for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is out now on all platforms, adding a new Photo Mode and implementing a small (but welcome) change to how your lightsaber can look after it receives a certain upgrade. The change involves understanding a late-game plot point, so be aware this post contains slight spoilers down below. If you’re just interested in the patch notes, skip to the bottom of this story.
In GameSpot’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order review, Phil Hornshaw wrote, “It’s true that Fallen Order borrows liberally from other action games, but those elements work together with Respawn’s combat and environment design, and a story that finds humanity in the Force and in its characters, to hone in on what makes the world of Star Wars worthy of revisiting again and again. Even with some rough edges, Fallen Order represents one of the most compelling game additions to the Star Wars franchise in years.”
Now Playing: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Is A Huge Step For Respawn
Mild spoilers for Jedi Fallen Order follow below.
After completing a certain amount of the story, Cere gives you a lightsaber part that you’re required to equip. This throws off the symmetry when you’re using a double-bladed lightsaber, and players have complained about this for a while.
With the new update, players can simply remove the switch from the lightsaber customization menu. It’s a small but welcome change that gives players more control of how they look. This goes beyond the existing customization options, which include different lightsaber colors.
The December 11 patch also improves the stability of Fallen Order by reducing the number of crash scenarios that players could encounter. The update also fixes collision issues in the caves and temple on Zeffo, so Cal shouldn’t get stuck in the geometry as often. There waa also an issue with the game that could cause Cal to fall out of the world on Kashyyyk, and this has been fixed.
