Black Friday 2019 is one of those rare moments in the year where we see major Nintendo Switch game deals. The company rarely tend to mark its games and hardware down throughout the year, so it’s a bit of a special time. While Nintendo’s Black Friday page also says to “check back soon for more deals,” most other retailers like Target and Walmart have already spilled details on which games and accessories are getting major deals. Unfortunately, we likely won’t see that many big Nintendo Switch console deals. After all, the Switch and Switch Lite are selling so well they don’t need them, and the only big console bundles packs in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with the older, less battery-efficient model, which is a bummer for those looking to get the latest Nintendo hardware.
Regardless, we’ll certainly be seeing an Eshop sale that will discount a slew of digital Switch games, presumably along with those for 3DS. In fact, Nintendo’s Black Friday Eshop sale has already been previewed for Europe and includes the expected discounts on a mix of first- and third-party games. Among them are Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Cadence of Hyrule, and Dragon Quest Builders 2, all of which will be 30% off.
Microsoft, Best Buy, and Target have also revealed the sales they’ll have ready for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, so make sure to check those out if you’re shopping around.
